When Quincy Adams was president he had a few goals. He wanted to build new roads, aid education and science, and regulate the use of natural resources. Unfortunately, most of his ideas were defeated by congress.
Quincy Adams was against slavery but didn't speak much about it during his term, more so afterwards. He considered himself an abolitionist, but did not believe that it could every be abolished. This is the 16th president, Abraham Lincoln, because he ended up eliminating slavery.
